    and this is after i said i wanted it to be loud, sounds good outside but unless im getting on it cant hear it inside the cab .... im thinking i shoulda straight piped it ... i have friends with magnaflows on their silverados and their rigs are way louder

    all the way back. Ive heard they get louder after youve had it on the truck a while, and it sounds great outside

    yeah what sucks on the flowmaster note is the jackass i decided to go see said the magnaflows louder

    also i had a 40 flowmaster on my old truck and it was cool but not that loud either (4 cyl ford ranger)

    lol i do emissions testing for the state of colorado. Believe it or not theres cameras everywhere so no ditching cats in my future

    I put a 40 on mine when it was 2 weeks old. You could hardly hear anything. Next step was no muffler and ran a pipe to the rear axle with a turn down....much better.

    could but if the damn thing fails thats no good. I see youre from PA a friend of mine there straight piped his civic then put the heatshields from the cat where it shoulda been, cant really get away with that here

    All this getting a new muffler or gutting the cats talk is ridiculous. Grab a sawzall, go out to your truck and hack off everything past the muffler. Leave about 2-3" of pipe in case you decide to have it welded back on, or in case you decide to do turn downs. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

    that would be good advice if i didnt just drop 200 on what i just had done, and again, based on all my research the straight pipe kills the gas miles and the "under bed" turndowns rust it out
