    2013 Tacoma TSS Prerunner debadged.
K&N cold air, installed fog lights, billet grille, debadged,de-flapped.
I have a 2013 prerunner with the 2.7l i have added a k&n intake, with no real gain, i was wondering about an electric fan conversion for the newer tacomas, if they make one or what? Seems like it would free up some power.

Flex-a-lite was the only kit that I know of, and not sure if there is support for 13 or not. I have the kit on my 09 4.0, and in summary, I could not feel any difference from a performance perspective. Quieter startup, fan only comes on when it's needed, frees up space in the engine bay.

In hindsight, not sure if it's worth $350-400.

I don't know why you buy the kit if clutch is electronically controlled like the dodges or doesn't void warrenty or what? I have a 1100 cfm fan on my 01 wired to a relay and thermostat then to ignition switch with a bypass switch hooked to a/c button about a 110 $ set up keeps mine nice and cool.

There are no gains to be had. The motor still has to power the electric fan via more load on the alternator.

You are correct however the gain lies in the thermostat. It will turn off when a fan is no longer needed for cooling. And back on at the specified temp. So at times there is no electric or mechanical draw
