Last week my mpg's crashed hard. Could not get better than 12.5per my scangauge city and highway combined. Ran the tank dry and got 220 miles out of full tank of 85 octane Loaf and Jug gas. I babied the hell out of it trying to figure out what was wrong and was about to throw my sg2 out the window

Popped some mid grade shell in and now I am back to averaging close to 19.5 for the first half of this tank and I'm not even babying it like I did before.

No more loaf and jug shit gas goes into my taco, period

Some stations have been caught "spiking" their fuel with E85.
Also, mistakes at the depot may result in E85 being put into a tanker marked for gasoline.
We had a chain of gas stations here in Los Angeles a few years ago that ended up with Diesel in their gas storage tanks. They paid for a lot of repairs.
