I'd get a leak down test to make sure everything inside the engine is up to par for boost.

I just boosted at 122k and haven't had any real problems thus far. I have the TRD kit and installed everything myself. Have about 1500 miles on the kit at this point.

I have a few questions for you why did you chose the TRD vs the URD . and do you feel like it was worth the investment ?

I went with the TRD because I was disappointed with my truck's performance on the interstate mainly. The TRD kit gets into boost a few hundred RPM sooner than the URD kit and the initial investment to get boosted isn't as much either. The thing that sucks is that I am barely making 2 lbs at this elevation so the gains aren't as noticeable. I'm moving to a lower elevation soon though which will make it easier to reap the benefits. However, I get much smoother power and have way better highway manners. Do I think it's worth 4k? Hell no but you gotta pay to play right? I'm putting a little smaller pulley on in about a week which should be a nice addition.

It took me two days of semi commitment to the project. Had to pick up a couple new tools from time to time as well... I could do it in a day if I did it again, but if its your first time tearing the truck apart I'd budget for two.

Normal driving around is pretty much like it's not even there. The truck pretty much just feels like there's a bigger engine under there is all. Fuel consumption showed no change. I was getting 14 before and I get 14 now lol. I just got some new tires that should be better on gas so I can update at a later time. I can say with confidence that the truck doesn't work nwarly as hard to do the same stuff though.

No. Gen 1 TRD CAI, also long tube headers and new exhaust components.

Gas mileage will not change unless the driver is at fault from my observations.......the whine is addicting and its hard to stay off the loud pedal.

Just remember to run 91 or better octane........I always did before so its not a learning curve here.

I chose trd over urd because I wanted my tq nice and low......and it delivers.
Cost was lower on trd as well.

Beware what exhaust u get......make sure it will clear your spare tire if ur going to 3", the trd 2.5" is same as stock iirc.

And don't get hung up like some ppl do on "trd" this or that.......they don't make parts, they contract others...... sometimes this step takes a huge nose dive too.

Trdparts4u.com tends to be the place that people buy them from. 3850 is what I think they are going for. You should be fine for sure with the intake and exhaust for smog, the shortys might be a little iffy but I know guys that do it. I'd personally rather just have the long tubes amd then switch the stock manifolds in come smog time...

Sure it could given the right tools... which for the 7th is basic tools if I remember correctly. What are you planning to run for ECU management? Until you really start upping the boost a 7th isn't necessary.

Colton I thought the initial install of the supercharger was ok, but just ok. I did the same thing your about to do with a 2.8 pulley, it was better. But then I did the long tubes urd y-pipe and most importantly the UCON. I'm making about 6.5 psi with WOT. I would like to see more. Like you I think its the altitude. I'm at 4300 ft. I think after my warranty runs out I'm going for the 2.5" and the 7th injector. I'll probably try the 7th before I shave down the snout. If your going to do the 7th you defiantly need the UCON.
