Are there any Lexus or Toyota v8 motors that match the 08 tacoma trans?

A 1uz and 2jz use the same trans. You might can swap bell housings? Youll probably be better off swapping the v8 trans due to the ecu harness unless you have 4x4 then you'll be better off swapping transfer case with v8 and getting drive shaft made

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
Isn't our 5spd auto designed for use with the v8 option in 03-0? 4runner. Thought I read that.

The 1uz is an aluminum Lexus V8 4.0L that puts out about 260HP if you find one from the later years that are VVT-i.

I have this motor in it's factory state SC400, non vvti which has stronger rods. The plan for this was to take the 2UZ bottom end from a Tundra, swap the heads from the 1UZ to it and be able to put out a massive amount of power with a TT setup, matched with a 5-spd manual trans. It's a great setup because of how small it is in cubic inches and is still a good power plant. There is a fair amount of room to work with, especially in a Tacoma engine bay where you could push the motor back a few inches as well.

Don't forget about smog (if it's even an issue for you), that the motor needs to be the same year or newer then your vehicle production year.

Can't swap bell housings, as it is an integral component of the 1GR's trans. The internals are attached to it.

Now the 5 speed manual used over seas, might be a different story. It is also had a history of being stronger I hear.
