Spark plugs ?????

Has anybody tried those Bosch 4 electrode iridium plugs in their v6? Think they might work as well as the OEM Denso plugs?

Lots of snake oil being disguised as spark plugs.
Multiple-electrode (actually shrouds the spark), gaps built into the insulator to make the spark "hotter" (at the expense of your coil).

The engine is equipped with the best plugs to make it run.

Copper for the 4.0 every 30k, Iridium for the 2.7 every 100k.

 

Ya can't beat factory plugs..... Plain, simple, and gets the job done.

 

Toyota runs a ngk dual ground iridium plug in newer boosted engines. I spent 4 months trying to find them in the us but Toyota bought the patent for them and they were 14 $ each when I bought them from toyota. made a big difference at high boost. But my ignition was designed by Toyota for them

 

While this is my first Tacoma, I have had several vehicles, and I have always performed the majority of the maintenance. My personal experience, especially with imports, is that you are usually better off sticking to the manufacturer's recommended plug. Some expensive plugs may end up giving you big disappointment.
Example: My truck didn't idle well with the a/c off when I purchased it. I removed the Autolite spark plugs and replaced them with NGKs; Problem solved, the truck now idles just fine, and runs better as well.
