I have a 2012 that is boosted with a few extras and would like to add a gauge pod to monitor some engine vitals not currently on the dash.
I was also going to install the URD MAF calculator but am hesitant right now as I would need to cut my factory ECU wiring to splice in (no cut harness adapter not available for 08+) and was also informed that I would need to custom tune for the 2012 with my application since none was available from URD. Well, that kind of put the brakes on that for now because I can't read Air - Fuel ratios and boost currently.
So, I am looking to get a boost gauge and A/F gauge but every boost gauge I find reads way too high for my needs.
Given that I looked into the Aeroforce gauges which offers a varaity of readouts all from the ODB2 port and doesn't require a huge effort for wiring. I can get Intake Air temps, Trans Temps, MPG, Calculated HP, and more....but NOT boost or Air Fuel ratio, which are what I mainly want for now.
I was informed that the Aeroforce will need a 2 Bar MAP sensor to read positive boost and that to get it to read A/F ratio I will need to have installed a wideband O2 sensor somewhere.
How are any of you who run Boost and A/F gauges getting this properly? And what gauge setup?
Did you need to install a 2 Bar Sensor for proper boost and a wideband O2 for A/F or am I off here?
Looking to get pointed in the right direction from someone who has similar setup and knowledge.
