It keeps resetting every 20sec and the screen is only half lit for a few seconds, is there a way to fix this?

Sounds like it's not fully plugged in or it's defective. I'd call the manufacturer....

I couldn't find a number either, but http://ultra-gauge.com/customer_support/ seems to be a link to start a trouble ticket and has some other listed problems.
