Ok, just got back from installing and a test run. First, you need a good internet connection, because you have to use the installer/updater a couple times. There are detailed instructions that are pretty easy to follow, takes about an hour for complete install, 1/2 hour for the initial program set-up.

You must have a battery charger hooked up or jumper cables. I didn't have it hooked up initially and my battery was at 12.0 and it needed to be at 12.1, it would not allow me to move forward in the program until I hooked up the charger, then it immediately went to the next step.

I mounted it out of the way, which is how I like it. I turned the seatbelt chime off, didnt try anything else, because I don't care about any of that.

Now for the important part, Performance. I can easily say it adds 30Hp, it feels like it did when I put the smaller pulley on...holy shit was the feeling when I got on it. I have to say it was a little hard keeping the back end down and the wheels from spinning. The road I was on is not the smoothest.

For me it was easily worth what I paid, the performance is there. I can't wait for an updated tune with even more power.

I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews of an N/A & nearly stock application.

Get one and let us know what the AFR numbers look like.

That's my only concern, is that the AFRs could be running too lean and cause issues if anything else goes wrong.

I'm still in the 10s with the 2.8 pulley. I could stand to lean out a bit lol. We'll see...

Yeah Probably. Found a better place to mount. Take the aux switch plate out and run the wire though, works like a charm.

When are we going to see dyno numbers on a STOCK 4.0 with PUMP gas? I really, really want to drop the dough for this but the lack of straight forward answers from BD is discouraging.

BD, if you know the numbers why not just tell us? And if you don't know, then I have to ask why you wouldn't test a stock truck on pump gas? Seems like there has to be a reason to NOT test possibly the most likely scenario.

I tried to run through a few of the special features and it said the vehicle was unsupported. If I wanted them to work I would call bully dog tech support, but I just tried them for this forum, I may be doing something wrong. This tuner is more complex than the Edge I had in my F-150, but you can update it and that is well worth the complexity.

It is doubtful you are doing anything wrong. All you have to do is try and enable the functions and they just plain don't work. Shouldn't have to have tech support help you to use something that should work out of the box. I am sure they will just try and walk you through something that you can already do yourself. It is pretty self explanatory. Somebody talking to you on the phone isn't going to make it work...

0-60 and/or 40-90 pulls on video. That's one easy way to see how good this Bully Dog tune is vs not

Actually, 0-60 & 1/4 times with a 4.0 and an auto would be best for telling what kinds of gains there are to be had. The mph difference in the 1/4 mile is what I'd be looking at.

For some reason I have the hunch that we are not even going to see actual dyno results for the NA 4.0 Tacoma's on pump fuel, much less track runs.

I assume the Bully Dog can be cut on and off relatively easy. And a quick 40-90 video will show you the difference between the two tunes. Alot easier than going to a dyno shop or 1/4 mile drag. This would show others whether or not its legit or not. Of course the AFR's are important too; especially at WOT and I would recommend a tested company like AEM or innovate for an AFR sensor and gauge. 11.3 -11.5 is safe at WOT. I'm sure Torspd would love to compare the videos as well like he does on xru. Then again with time; it always tells the truth;)
