I pulled that from the Toyota site. I did check the build a Toyota site and it does list a 2.7 auto 4x4. The whole thing is I want to see a 2013 4.0L with 5 speed stick like jluyk has. The 5 dealers I shopped before I bought mine and the brochures I picked up I never saw anything but the 6 speed manual, no 5 speed manual, mated to the V6 I never bothered looking at 4 cylinders because they don't fit my needs. If it exists all I say is I am from Missouri (The Show-Me State) so show-me.

Alright. You guys are gonna love this. I had the understanding that the truck I bought was the 4 Liter, 6 cylinder engine with the 5 speed manual trans. For some reason I assumed that the 2.7L only went with the 2 wheel drive version of the Tacoma. Since I have the 4x4, I assumed it was the 4.0L. I just checked my registration. It says 4 cylinder.

The salesman told me it was, "The 4" so i assumed he meant 4.0L. Imagine my frustration at finding out I bought the wrong freakin' motor.

Go ahead and laugh cuz I'd be laughing too, if I wasn't so mad.

Hey man, if it meets your needs, roll with it. I'm happy with my four-banger and I've loaded enough extra weight onto my regular cab (sliders, skids, rear bumper, winch, tools) that it's heavier than an access cab.
