    Afte having a rough idle and verry crappy MPG's for awhile. I have changed my plugs, and it didnt help, but I changed my fuel filter yesterday and just drove it. the rough seems to be better, lets hope it stays that way. I just gotta check my mpg's next tank. Oh, and the old fuel filter was really dirty! I was in shock how much crap came out of it.

    If the rough idle/low rpm's comes back what should I do next?

    No, Im pretty sure that the new Tacoma's have it in the gas tank, and isnt serviceable.

    Yup. Second gens have it in the tank. It can be replaced along with the pump, as they are 1 assembly. Either have to drop the tank, or remove the bed. Neither one is as hard as one would think.

    Well the rough idle is better but it still drops down to 600 and is rough sometimes. What could I try next?
    -New Wires?
    -PCV?
    -TPS?

    Bump.......Nothing! ok

    Well I think im ganna try changing my PCV and run some seafoam threw the pcv line instead of the brake booster. Ive done it through the brake booster line twice in the last 4 months or so. It helped a little. Smoked a buch though!:) But since I just changed my plugs would this be a bad idea?

    i think you'll be ok, unless your changing them with cheap plugs. Are you checking your gap correctly before installing?

    Replace all the wires. Good idea, if one was bad, may as well replace all of them...

    What wires do you reccomend? NGK or OEM/dealer wires.

    As for the low idle, Check the EGR first, as this can causse a low idle, and its a cheap fix. Also, check to make sure all your vaccume lines are connected propperly, and not craked. ...WHen its idleing low, turn on the AC. If the idle doesnt increase, or if it drops lower, it could be the IAC.

    Ok...So you used the twin ground plugs....Did you gap both sides of the plug??

    I just did some searching and research. And I think it might be the EGR! I hope so! I will do that and the PCV.
