Ive got the TRD exhaust tip but with a different muffler, because it's resonated would it change the tone if I put a normal angle cut 3.5 inch tip on? And any different if I had a custom y-pipe made after the muffler and then ran the tail pipes out the back with 2, 3.5 inch tips?

I put a cheapo resonated tip on after my Flowmaster 10 and it quieted down the rasp quite a bit. So going from a resonated to non-resonated may make a small difference I don't know. Sorry that's all I got.

I had a 2' x 4" resonated tip on 2.5 exhaust pipe, it just made the tone high and raspy.

I gutted the resonated tip and cut tip down to about a foot long, it dropped the exhaust note to a deeper lower growl.

It's all about resonate theory, length and diameter of tip change the frequency of the exhaust note.
the smaller the pipe the higher the exhaust note, exhaust gases travel faster and hotter in a smaller diameter pipe and larger pipe the exhaust gases slow down and the sound deepens.
    hope it makes sense
