This is my exhaust system that I had rerouted to exit through a hole in the rear bumper.

I had it done at Labree Motorsports at 21521 Strathern Street in Canoga Park in the San Fernando Valley. the clearances were super tight and it was anything but a straight shot, so it took some truly creative compound angle mandrel bending to make it fit, but it turned out beautifully. Everything is all tucked neatly under the truck, and absolutely nothing hits or rattles. :)

I highly recommend this shop if you want any high quality custom mandrel bent exhaust work done on your Taco.

Cool idea and I like the retro feel. Way to be original!

Looks good, similar to what Ram does, but taken a step further:

    It's retro all right.
The first car I saw that had it was the 1956 Ford Thunderbird.

The 1965 Mustang carried over the same basic idea...

I did the same thing to my Gen 1 Taco 16 years ago. Although that one was simple enough to do it myself with just a piece of straight exhaust tubing.

My truck is really quiet with the exhaust exiting as far away from the cab as possible. It also exits into the low pressure zone created behind the flat vertical tailgate which very slightly reduces wind resistance at freeway speeds. I never liked the look of the stock pipe sticking out sideways.

I was originally going to have a center exhaust exit just under the rear bumper, but decided not to do it as I use my truck for work and am in severe grade situations like really steep driveways with dips at the bottom. A truck like the one above backing down a steep incline with a dip would be vulnerable to scraping the bottoms of the pipes.
