It being a new truck, not sure how you'd feel about this. Mine's a first gen, i've thought about a motor swap, honestly. 3.4, 5.3 chevy, or a 4bt cummins. if i did it, i'd probably go for the cummins, just because you can mod the shit out of diesels and they're still last you forever.

Afe cold air intake, 6"×14" magnaflow muffler 3"tip, leveled on 285/70r17 General grabber x3 on rrw wheels
I have a double cab long bed 2wd 4.0l on 285/70r7 and with a 1/4 of gas it weights 4260 all the weight savings are plastic. Theres no way to drop 1000 lbs unless you strip the interior and body panels

I have a straight through magnaflow 6"x14" round muffler with 2.5" tubing after axle to a 3" tip and there was a slight increase felt about 3500rpm and i just installed a AFE CAI and that really picks it up after 3500rpm. I've done a relearn on my ecm after I've installed both of these.

I have a magnaflow 6"x14" round straight through muffler with 2.5" piping after axle and 3" tip. I just installed a AFE CAI and you can feel a difference and it pulls harder than factory above 3500rpm. I've also done a ecm relearn after i installed both of these

Ok, pardon my ignorance please... what does an ecm relearn entail? Ive got the 4.0v6 and done a mountain of mods and didn't really get any substantial gains from them. A little here and there but nothing that really stood out. Maybe I should do a relearn? Yes I know this is an old topic.

Most of the bolt on mods do little or nothing for performance increases. The ECU over time relearns parameters. Just drive and be happy.
