CAI or Drop in KN?

I am having trouble deciding to get the TRD cai or just a drop in kn filter, i cant really see what the CAI does as it takes air from the same place as the stock one. I have a 2009 Tacoma double cab 4x4.

 

well since I have the trd CAI I am somewhat biased, but I can tell you I love the sound it makes when you are in the higher rpm range. I have no dyno proof of any gains however. I have and most likely always will be a fan of CAI because of the looks and sound. If you do the drop in route I would suggest afe pro dry s drop in due to the fact it is a dry filter. Good luck bud!
