Hey guys, I dont know about you, but I always wondered what the difference was between winter and summer blend. Popular Mechanics does a good job explaining it for us. Apparently Summer blend has 2% more stored energy than Winter blend. Hence the poor MPGs during the cold weather months. Winter blend is more volatile (evaporates more easily) which reduces problems with cold starting your vehicle.
