So long sorry short...I was having some fun in the field across my house with my traction off.tranny mainly stayed in 1st gear the whole time due to pretty loose/deep dirty.no mud.the next day I take it to town and noticed a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd....and then 4th going to 5th my RPMs would shoot up to redline and then shift to 5th...i state in 2wd the whole time.i only hve 25k on the dash.so I dropped it off at the dealer and told them my problem.i called back a week later and they said they don't think it's the transmission.that they think it's something "electrical" and asked if the trucks ever been tuned.i told the truth.."no!".i was told that it could be the dtlt headers which has no cats -__-.
    Please help!!!

    Trd s/c(dealer install)
    Afe stage 2 CAI(I installed)
    Dtlt headers(I installed)
    URD mk2 exhaust(I installed)
These are my modifications. The truck was running great before I went in the field.i don't understand how they could say that it's not the transmission.they said they don't take the tranny apart.they just replace.help from my fellow met would be greatly appreciated!

How hard are u on the truck?

Do u have any way of knowing how hot the fluid got?

Ur making more hp than this truck was ever built to handle, and I've always figured the trans would be the weak link.

Headers causing a shifting problem tho?
    Crazy sounding to me.

Those symptoms sound exactly like what my maxima did before the trans shit the bed......... Then a year after the rebuild it made the same symptoms. Guess what? Another trans rebuild was needed.

I was doing some pretty good donuts.hard on the truck.not going to lie.i don't have any gauges(I know I need.too late for that)..I know it's the trans but they're saying it could be the headers with no cats.causing something electrical which is not letting the truck shift right..

Let me say this was the first time I had ever done this...

Put old manifolds back on then take it back to them.

U may have gotten things pretty toasty without knowing tho.

Then again, shouldn't we see a trans light flashing?

Too bad these are a pita to check.... I'd like to see/smell a sample of the fluid

Did you get the truck back from the dealership yet?

Did you or they have the chance to reset the battery?

So they are now saying that the headers y pipe and exhaust are causing their assumed "electrical"issue?
    Because potato?

Yea I think that's what they're trying to get at.i told them I would take them the stock parts to "try their experiments".but when they were done to put everything back together.

Lol I'll be sure to ask them about the intake and tires hahahaha!

Maybe I should consider the valve.i wouldn't know where to look or get it from.im not very well with parts.lol

I am finidng a lot of posts on this forum with transmission complaints ( Aisn Warner A750 ) are directly related to the transmission fluid being 2 to 3 quarts low on fluid directly from the factory .
Doing dohnuts in a field would cause the transmission filter to loose prime if it was 2 to 3 quarts low on fluid .
With this said , have you ever checked your transmission fluid properly ?
Did the dealer perform the factory flash for the transmission when the S/C was installed ?
Ask the dealer what codes were stored in the ECM ?
