You need a hose made to stand up to the vacuum pressure and not all fuel hoses are designed for that. Look on the fuel hose to see if it says PCV or EEC, otherwise I'd be concerned about it collapsing from the vacuum.

The hose is good, let my truck run and checked if it could handle the vacuum and even squeezed it. I'm just worried about the length of it, but after 100 miles I had quite a bit of oil. Not as much as Dan had but close.

Any issues with installing this catch can on a supercharged engine?

The wire mess that is installed does it have to be the same material. I know some metals will corrode if they are in contact with each other, don't want that stuff sucked back into the engine.

I just used stainless steel scrubbie mesh. Shouldn't corrode with aluminum

Shouldn't be any issues. It should actually benefit and save your blower from getting a shit oil layer in it

Nope. Local hardware store. Napa has pretty good fuel line

I used Napa fuel line and it's good stuff I bolted the bracket I made using the existing bolt that hold the fuse block down to the top of the fender and it works perfectly. The can has been installed for 300 miles now and I opened the can and there was about 3-4 tablespoons worth of nasty coffee colored crap at the bottom so this can has paid for itself already in my eye's to bad I wait till 22,366 mile to do this Mod. I recommend this to everyone. :)

First time posting. Installed the ADD-W1 last week. Used a single M8x1.25 bolt to mount to factory hole in bay, used Autozone 3/8" fuel line hose, placed an O-ring on the dipstick, stainless steel scrubber (not wool) inside in the baffle. Perfect install, no CELs. Checked at 400mi, already collecting, doing it's job. Worth the investment.

    Thanks Detective_Dan for the inspiration!
