You will be surprised, then happy because you will know that suff is not going back into the intake.

When I went to install mine today I had to shim out the bracket so when I closed my hood the hood strut would not hit the catch can. Looking back through the posts all the pictures reflect installs where there were no hood struts to deal with. Just an observation.

250 km and this is what I got in mine. Also for the install i used oil coolant hose instead of fuel line!

whats curios to me is how some peoples caught oil looks like gross chocolate milk, but in mine and some others cases, it just looks like normal oil with a fuel oil smell to it. anybody have an answer for that?

My fluid also had ice particles in it, as it is sub zero temps still, not sure if that had anything to do with the colour?!?!

forgot to mention that all my driving is 98% highway! not sure if that has any affect on colour either! maybe it just condenses different at higher RPM's and temps!

If something looked like that coming out of your engine, you'd think you had water in your oil or a head gasket leak. But what you're collecting is gasoline vapor, condensation, and oil mist that mixes together into a slurry that looks like stool.

ok, i guess its just different engines do different things. mine just looks like regular 30w oil, with a gasoline smell to it.

My old 5.4L use to do that. Take the oil cap off and it was milky white.

I'm going to say moisture. You will get condensation everywhere depending on temperature differences. Colder climates might get a little more condensation.

Looking into installing one myself. While shopping on Amazon I see they have a version 2.0 with a breather and diff not know which would be the better route. Any thoughts from anyone who has installed one?

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Brether is only if you dont run a return line to the manifold. Generally used for boosted applications to keep boosted air from pressurizing the crank case.

Installed mine closer to the engine. Made a bracket to attach under a bolt holding the relay box down. It was actually close enough that I was able to use the OEM line for one nozzle. I wanted to keep the distance as short as possible.
Checked it at 50 miles and I have 1/2 teaspoon of a yellow-ish/clear fuel-smelling oil. I'll check it again in another 100 miles.

In taking a quick look at the version 2, it can be run as either a closed loop setup (what is recommended for most folks here) or as a breather setup (an option not available in the v1).

Is there a maximum length a PCV line be run? On the 3RZ, the PCV feeds into the intake past the throttle body with the ports facing the passanger side. As such, I'd like to mount the catch can as far from the exhaust header as possible.

I am boosted and trying to figure this statement out. Why would that matter? Without the oil catch can the set up is still identical to NA engine.
