Not sure how many members have the s/c installed, but here's my truck.

I've had the s/c for almost a year and a half (installed myself), and absolutely love it! Haven't had a single problem. Truck makes 296hp and 303tq at the wheels. Truck has intake, headers, and exhaust.

Honestly, it was pretty easy as long as you have the tools. It took me roughly 5-6 hours, but I was missing a part, so I had to wait a few days to get a replacement from TRD. I then took it to toyota to have the re-flash done.

I've since installed 3 others besides mine, so I've gotten better at it.:)

Mileage for me hasn't really changed. I average 16ish, but I have seen more but is rare for me at least because of where I drive.

You must've saved a bundle doing the install yourself. I would have paid you to do mine cause I got raped at servco.

I had mine for say 1200 miles and it has a problem and the unit is being replaced this week by the Dealer that installed it.
After this issue,I'm glad i have a 5/60 warranty on the unit.
Never saw a MPG difference unless you play. When you play, you pay but it's worth it..

Had a split second odd noise when engine was shut down.Sounded like a bearing issue to me.
Service rep said he didn't know what the problem was,the service manager talked to TRD.
Whatever the problenm is TRD ok'd a replacement unit which should becoming this week.

Well I saved at least $600 plus I was the first one on the island to have the s/c. For one I didn't care about the warranty, and I wanted to do it myself for the fun! I drove it to servco after to get the reflash done for $45:D

    Nice,ross!
That's what I paid plus sales tax.

I believe I read Toyota dealers in my area get over $100 just to do the reflash.

Yes, that's true because they charge for one hours labor rate, but I knew a service writer and mechanic who I requested to do the reflash at my dealer, so I was only charged for the actually time they worked on it.

nice, always good to know the guys in the right places. I was told there weren't that many installs done, maybe 10 or so for this model truck. Not sure if he meant in the past year or since the charger was released. Most of the guys getting charged now are the 3.4L models. Makes sense since it's probably past the warranty for most of those trucks and it's probably way cheaper now.
