In most cases, the trd reflash is more than sufficient at handling the 2.85 pulley:cool:

The stock tune is rich as a pig. I recommend an AFR gauge to keep an eye on things, but the stock reflash should be more than okay handling the 2.8 pulley.

No need. Just install it and go. I have been running it for 4 years and 50K miles on the standard TRD tune. I have an AFE CAI, Y pipe & cat back exhaust as well. No issues.

last week I traded my 2010 off road for a 2014. I went crazy adding a TRD SC a pro-comp lift, tinted the windows and a new sound system. I dropped it off today to have the SC put on. I wanted to know if I put the URD 2.85 pulley on if it would hurt anything.

what kind of gains did you get with the URD pulley?

2.8 pulley gains of 1-2 psi so roughly 15-20 hp.

so is it really worth putting one on? Will the power come on earlier in the RPM range.

You'll definitely have more power per same rpm.

You should seriously consider a fuel pump upgrade.

From what I hear if you remove the 3.0" pulley, and install the 2.85" , you will Void the factory warranty...URD makes the "Stealth 2.85"pulley that has the OEM pulley numbers stamped into the pulley itself, Toyota is hip to this as well, if you notice on your S/C snout(At least it was on mine), there is a drop of yellow painted weld looking stuff on the snout, and pulley..if you change out pulleys.. try and mimic this with a drop of solder, painted yellow ...dealership will look for this should you have an engine claim.

EDIT: Make sure you use Torque seal after pulley swap..(mine was yellow)..[IMG]

^^what Tor said...alot of Guys have had success with the Walbro 255 which you can also get from URD for about $155...last thing you want to do is starve the Blower during Boost... Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge is a Bonus tool as well...

that is torque paint. it is used to identify if the hardware has been loosened(by intentional or non intentional means). pretty standard in most industries

Is this what the dealerships use:

    http://dirttricks.com/shop/torque-seal-yellow-marking-paint

Or does the drop of solder and yellow paint work good enough?
