Synthetic Oil....

Its been 5,000 miles since the last oil change. Light came on this morning. How many more miles can I go? My dad says I can go another 1,000 miles.

 

There are folks who only change filters ever 5K and will drive 15 or 20K on the same oil.

The question is: Do you want the engine to keep running?? You could go for a long time before you have a major failure....prolly go another 5K without major damage...another 1 or 2K won't be a huge deal....but why do that to your rig??

 

Yeah My plan is to keep my Taco ALL the way through College or at least through HS.

My dad has done it in all of his cars...... I wouldnt though jsut because when the truck tells you that you need to change whatever you need to change........ CHANGE IT!!!!!
