I have a 2013 TRD sport 4 wheel drive and I went to buy a TRD cold air intake and it doesnt seem like TRD makes one for my year. Does anyone know any that are as good or better than the TRD? or should I just modify the TRD one to fit?

The newer TRD intake is made by k&n and its flawed..... Get the afe stage 2 si

Agreed 100%..... Glad u could post before the disinformation crew showed up

Lmao, the stock intake is setup for noise canceling, and the performance does suffer from it. There's a thread here with dyno results.
Cat back..... Iirc the stock setup is mandrel already right?
What size is stock, and how big would u go while n/a?

    :)

He can run his stock intake with no filter at all, including ripping out the charcoal deal and gain no HP. Advising one to get any filter is moot, the intakes baffles/chambers/silencers and bends are the issue. Its been proven on a dyno.

CAI is for looks eh? Do u drive with ur hood removed? (No offense tor).

    Even with a supercharger?

    Your kidding me right?

If you want the TRD get it but I'd personally rather have a volant CAI. I'm tired of everyone saying don't get one! Its his money if he wants ato get one let him get one!

    Yes and no.....
As long as he is alerted that the design is flawed and causes a lean condition iirc, because its based off if the WRONG intake tube diameter. Then if he chooses to buy it, at least we did our job of letting him know there is a real problem with that intake specifically.

Just like, I hope someone has already let u know that the volant MAY throw a check engine light..... Its an oddball, some trucks throw the light, and some don't.

That said, ur right.... Its ur money and if u want to chance it and buy one, no biggie. Hopefully ur one of the lucky ones.

    Howdy brother.

Not much.... Still gotta install catch can, reroute the boost gauge into a pillar, custom rig a spot for the Scangauge, and figure out how to kill the rasp the truck has..... Prolly a secondary muffler.

...and no one actually answered the man's question before the standard CAI commenters showed up.

The 13-14 has an extra air pump in the stock airbox area. As such, there are only two manufacturers of CAI that fit without, or minor, mods, URD and (can't remember now..., but not TRD or Volant, might be Airaid). Either one of those should fit and give you more noise and a bit more power way up top in the rpm range.

His question was answered in the first response. AFE Stage 2si.

The 2012 also has the air pump, although the 2012 air pump does not have the heating element. TRD does not make a CAI for the 2012- models. The AFE Stage 2si is nearly the same as the 1st gen TRD CAI but with AFE branding instead of TRD, black instead of red couplers, and it has a bracket that bolts to the airbox and harness extension for relocating the air pump. Justus also pointed out that the other option listed may throw a CEL light due to lean conditions, results vary.

Be nice, I said a bit. There are some proven gains up high, you know 10 +/- 12 depending on who you ask :D:D:D

I've run the aFe and the URD and disliked the aFe noise, but both showed small 1/4 improvements over stock. I also have the MAF Cali, which I don't have data for, but do like it in combo with the URD.

I know you have experience from the other side too.

I was being very nice since my dyno tab for testing on various CAI excluding URD was what most make in a month. The trend on all was a mere smidge up top as you stated, and is why I edited the quote.

All good, my biggest problem with the CAI posters are the comments made without any experience and/or data. You don't fall in that boat.

BTW, for the other commenter on my post, I do see that aFe has a model that supports the 12+. I definitely missed that.

There's more to it than numbers. The aesthetic appeal is what I like about my aftermarket intake over the mass of the stock box. I like the extra noise too. It's probably a waste of money if people are looking for substantial performance gains.
