Exhaust Sounds

If you are stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to decide which exhaust set up or muffler to throw on....here are two sounds I like

just going by the recording, i like the Banks
but do we know if the trucks had any other mods?

 

I like the Banks as well. What would the costs be?

 

your guess is as good as mine....according to the guys site...engine mods were only CAI k & n i think

 

i called Banks and a "monster" exhaust is $400 before december 15 ( straight bolt on and should fit perfectly with stock hangers, also good with toyota warranty)....steep price....but christmas is coming up! haha

 

how the banks stacks up against the "trd" and the "borala"(sp) that toyota sells?

 

In my opinion.....I don't like the Borla exhaust at all on the 4.0L tacoma. The TRD exhaust sounds good....I think the dealer is charging like $500 or somthing. Be careful where you buy your exhaust because some people will sell other companies exhaust for cheap and have no authorization to do so...and you get no warranty.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, the spintech muffler is a good choice.

 

I bought the banks for my 07 tacoma and love it...Put it on in about half an hour....Love the sound and overall quality...

I'm waiting til next week to get mine...I already made up my mind and I'm gettin Banks......what does the set include? Did the exhaust fit with the factory hangers?

if you dont have any other mods....is it possible to get a sound clip?

Banks sounds good to me. where's the best place to purchase it. online or in-store.

 

I purchased mine on line threw the banks site. Cheapest i found......Went on without any hassels useing the factory hangers.Would post sound clip for you but dont have anything to record it with...Sorry. But i can say at an idle it sounds about factory,up hills you can here the difference...sounds nice but yet not to loud...hope this helps

 

did you buy online from banks site? or somewhere else? Cuz I believe Banks doesn't authorize anybody else to sell their products, voiding the warranty. What you pay?

I got the factory TRD one and it is awesome. Invoice for it I think was $500 but if you go to any dealership you could probably get it for less.

 

Anyone opinions on Magnaflow cat-backs? How is the TRD system working?

 

It works really good! I like it, but I kind of wish I would of gone aftermarket, ohh well it works good!
