I have searched around a but and can't find any direction on one thing is like to address on my 2010 4.0 Super Charged Tacoma...

I am not looking to raise the rev limiter hit I am looking to remove whatever causes it not to rev above 3500rpm well...

Some times it will shoot up to 5k in neutral (auto trans) most of the time it is deprived by the ECU I imagine...is there. Simple fix to remove the engine acceleration limiter?

When I neutral if you attempt to rev the engine it seems sluggish to rise mostly. A lot if newer cars will not let you rev above 3000 or 3500 rpm while in neutral. Is there a way to remove this feature.

I have a manual so I don't really know, but I'm pretty sure Tacoma's don't have that feature.

I'll post up a video soon... So your saying if you pin it to the floor it will bounce off the limiter... Not that I seeking this in any way... But most will electronically close the intake valve while at high rpm not under a load

If I'm in neutral and slam the skinny pedal it'll go all the way to redline no hesitation all racetruck style as mentioned above...

Do you have any check engine lights?

Do you have any idle problems, or vacuum leaks?

If you have the 90L pedal reflash, which is mandatory on a TRD reflash, that should only take effect during wheel spin. As in trying to do a burn out.

Torspd, thanks for the troubleshooting Q's. No CEL's. No idle problem or vac leaks I'm aware of. As far as the re flash, my SC was installed about a year ago so I'm not sure what software update it is.

On to the next... I did install the 2.8" pulley and have not made any fuel system upgrades. Is it possible it's not getting fuel fast enough? I do have an afr gauge and don't notice it lean out.

Have you tired resetting the ecu by disconnected the battery? Just for shirts and giggles?

You will have the 90L pedal reflash.

Disconnecting my battery for "shits and giggles" has done pretty well to abolish some gremlins I was experiencing in the past. That's like my go to if I have something just a little bit off.
