I'm not an engineer for Toyota but I'll almost guarantee that allowing more air would not yield any power gains and may even possibly take some away. Now if you were going super charger or modified an engine to where it would need more air than you would want some thing like that. But it's yours hell if you want one buy it! Lol I'm sure there are never ending threads on this topic.

Blowers do just that.... Shove more air in

Now what's ur opinion of a blower and an intake?

There's dyno proof out there.... Just gotta look for anything Torspd posted

Well there again I'm no expert but if your running a supercharger or blower you not only force air in to the engine but you would also need to compensate with the correct amount of fuel. Whether it's like back in the day with a bigger carb/jets or nowadays with a computer program. I guess what trying to say is just by opening up your air intake and nothing more generally won't yield any gains.

The gains I like about it is more filter area for those really dusty trails we get out in the dez.
Any gain will only be at wide open throttle which is not very often for me.
Factory intakes and exhaust systems are very well designed. They learned a lot over the restrictive stuff from 40 years ago, and were able to get free HP and torque from a better flowing stock systems.

these trucks have been seen running 10:1 bone stock, so opening up the intake side, is gunna help because the computer will adjust as needed.

Intakes do just fine for us

the restriction on the 1gr is the intakes baffles/chambers/sound deadening properties, NOT the filter.

u can run the truck with zero filter (including the little carbon trap) and you will gain nothing on a dyno.

Change the intake to a nice simple tube and eliminate the resonators/baffles/whatever u wanna call them, and ur gunna see gains
