CAM gears without UCON EMS

URD fuel pump upgrade, URD TB plate adapter 70mm, FJ/4 runner 70 mm Throttle body, URD exhaust cam gears URD performance thermostat TRD CAI 1st gen. with custom cover (coupe), ProDry S + Filter skin, Doug thorley long tube headers, URD spec U exhaust Icon LT 2.5 front coilover, Timbren front bumpstops, Total Choas UCA, Deaver custom leafpack 3 inch. lift, Icon 2.5 VS series rear resishocks, Timbren rear bumpstops, ARB front bumper with WARN 8500 lbs winch,Hella 500 blackmagic, AVID rear bumper, Allpro front IFS skid + Trans. skid + Transfercase skid. Total chaos LCA skid, SS braided brake line, URD O2 sims, URD MAF controller, Wetokole front seatcovers, Innovate MTX-L, MTX-D AFR and boost gage.
    Cause the UCON EMS is not avalaible for the 2010+ (and dont know when or if it's gonna be one day), i would like to know if the CAM gears can be installed without the UCON?

    What kind of gain it will produce?

    Really hope UCON is gonna be avalaible soon cause i would like to swap from 2.85 to 2.7 pulley and 7th injector. I need more punch.:eek:

    Yes they can be installed. How much power? No one has done a before and after with just the cam gears.

    It helps to evacuate the exhaust and cool the combustion chamber temps. Thus in conjunction with the cooler T-stat, a little timing can be added. That is where a majority of the increase in power comes from.

    Looking for more power waiting for the UCON, a smaller pulley and a 7th injector.
    I've been at the track for 1/4 and time were not amazing. Best time at 15.3 and 89 mph.

    I know the DC LB 4x4 is pretty heavy and i have an ARB bumper with Allpro skids (IFS, Tranny, Transfer case). It was f*** hot. Air temp at 94 F and track temp at 130 F. My truck prefer cold temp. The colder, the better.

    I'm gonna have to work on the tranny but nobody's doing this kind of job here and IPT is 8 hrs away. I need my truck so i can't send my VB for mods. Even thinking about a complete unit from IPT. We'll see.

    Hey Vassily. You should definitely get the VB mod from IPT. I just got it done and it's awesome! I bet you could shave some 10ths off you 1/4 time.

    It only took John and co. about 3 + hours to swap my VB and so technically you could do it in one very long day or better yet, stay overnight and party in NYC :)
