Shortarm air intake getting to much oxygen

I have a 05 Tacoma 4.0 I installed a shortarm air intake kit now my check engine light came on code P107 to much oxygen any suggestions?

which brand did you get? any other mods done to the truck? Probably the MAF not liking your short ram air intake kit.

That's the problem right there. Put the stock one back on. That will fix the problem. No name intake will screw up your engine easily.

Hi Jay, and welcome to TW.

Do you mean a "short ram intake"? Have you disconnected your negative battery terminal for about 15 minutes and reconnected it so that the ECU can relearn the new operating parameters? That might be a simple solution to your problem.

Oh, and please do post a picture. I always like to see what the different intakes look like. Photobucket.com is a good cloud storage source for posting pictures, and accounts are free.

Too much oxygen lol.

Unless your air intake does some sort of O2 injection every intake will give your engine 21% oxygen, 79% nitrogen. Just like the air you are breathing currently.

I agree try to rest the computer. Some intakes throw your system off and my need a tuner to fix. You need to know what the intake is so people can help...
