deckplate on 2007 v6

Can you do the deckplate mod on 2nd gen tacomas? I have a 2007 double cab v6 prerunner. I found on another thread that the 2nd gens arent compatible or some crap?

 

no you can't. your best bet for an intake would be the 1st gen trd intake which is the same as the afe stage 2 intake. i believe its that one lol. or you could get the urd intake.

 

This is correct.

I've had both versions of the TRD intake and I like the 1st Gen one more. Plus you can have custom tops made for it.

 

Wheres a good place to look for these parts? Ivr never really worked on vehicles before and i am learning with this new truck. Excited about doing things to my taco

wouldn't you say that a higher volume of air would contain more oxygen than a lower volume at a lower temperature? just because its warm doesnt make it worthless...
