So are most people just running after market exhausts, headers, cold air intakes for their prerunner builds? Just curious what people are doing for increased performance.

Depends on budget. Sky is the limit.
I'm curious though, what the highest recorded whp on a 1gr is.

That's the question for the 1GR... Everybody who upgraded the internals also popped the motor... Torspd hopefully will prove that, if built properly, good things will come...

Yes. Twin turbo XR, built by PSI Racing, in Florida. I ended up calling the shop and speaking with the owner about it because I was looking to have them make a similar intake manifold for my engine.

They were running ~28 psi on a set of twin Turbonetics Journal bearing turbos. He said he wished they had newer nicer ball bearing turbos and it would have flowed better and wouldn't have had to run as much boost.

Yeah... I remember that RR Xrunner... Many on XRU were questioning the 1/4 mile times years back when it hit youtube. Speaking of, when are you gonna hit the track with your beast?

Yeah, that guy straight lied about his times. The owner did verify the power output though. His truck needed smaller than 22" wheels, and a better driver.

I really don't want to go to the 1/4 mile track. I have had so many bad experiences with it. Parts always breaking........ My best potential time, was at TexFest, a few years ago. Ran a ~14.2, with a roughly two second delay of me trying to get into 3rd gear. Pissed me off. Transmission was well beyond its last leg though. Multiple synchro issues.
