I just want to say that I find this statement highly unlikely, and suggest you find a replacement midget.

    We are men!
    How true.
If I could have a naked girl on my face and drive straight as claim I got 2% licking increase I would say it, box it up, and sell it!
All men would buy it, as would I!

DUDES, their our joys. Don't be a kill joy for those that want to have fun and love making their trucks look cool.
    Come on, that's for wives.

So I can save all this money by just pouring in some red bull? I didn't even need to read the last couple pages, red bull ftw! But I like monster better...

Really though, I have the Magnaflow exhaust, now I'm lookin for intakes, and I'm thinking between the AFE and the Volant.

i have built one that i am testing. Not sure if im 100% sold yet or if i will be going back to my stock.. I do feel some gain at about 3000RPM- 4000RPM.. no solid true numbers. So far only slight change in MPG. (0.3MPG better/worse depending on my driving habits. and of course it has the beefier sound. As far as temp changes i get about 12-13* cooler than ambient temps according to my Ultragauge.

As far is it worth the $200-400 its up to you... Also if your gonna spend the money on wanting to do it.. have you looked at URD. which also makes it more forced air due to being directly in the front of your truck.

yeah im not really into the KN cone filter. Just wanted to have that cool looking trd air box with a differnt filter in there. but cant seem to find one for the new tacos
Dont think the URD will work for me since I have a BAMF led mount and a 20inch bar up front.

the housing is based off incorrect measurments.

get a better intake and throw a TRD sticker on it.

thats all THEY do anyhow is give out contracts for their name stamped on a product

very very true. I'm liking the AFE dry filter. You guys that have one, how loud is it? does it have a loud air suction sound at idle and while driving/accelerating?

Had a cai in my honda civic and it was way too loud.
Thanks for all your help..just might pick up the AFE. 450 bux is a bit exp, might look for one on craigslist.

Ladies! Remember that these numbers are for peak HP and TQ... If you offroad, a CAI will basically do nothing but give you sound.

If you tow, or do a lot of highway passing, you may see the benefits of a higher flow intake paired with a high flow exhaust and proper ecu tuning!

I wouldn't spend as much as they charge for them. Just get a used K&N and throw a dry filter on it and call it a day. Easy maintance, looks cool when u open the hood and shit ton of noise when u stomp on it is really what ur getting.

I LOVE MINE paired with a new muffler (don't ever get a "cat back exhaust") LOL

I gained low RPM power with the afe and an average of .9 mpg. also I love the sound.
