Just purchased some URD Headers on the black friday sale so I figured now was the best time if any.
Wanting to know if anyone has had them for a while on a N/A engine?
    Whats the pros and cons?

On both heads, we removed the top and bottom rear most studs. As well as on the the steering coupling. That part was mandatory for clearance.

Lucario Runner said that he immediately felt a pick up in lower end power.

So my low end would improve then? My DTLT headers killed my low end. But I have a nice top end.

Are they a tighter fit in the 4runner compared to the tacoma? and Im keeping my exhaust stock so i dont open it up too much so hopefully that helps with not loosing the low end power to and the butt dyno is the only dyno that matters! ;)

I thought about taking it somewhere to get it done, but couldn't justify paying for something I can do. Time will be my only problem. On lucarios 4runner did he have the y-pipe already done before he put the headers on?

the top end definitely seemed to increase.. at least on my application. although.. I didnt have JUST the headers. the exhaust was fully done at the same time.. so hard to determine what modification did what..

I bought his second gen DTLT's, from him, and we swapped in the Spec-U headers. Yes he had the URD Y-pipe already. Still has his stock catback.

I almost bought a supercharger, wish I would have now but at least all this can still benifit it if I ever decide to. How would you compair the DTLTs to the URD headers? i was going to get the DTLTs but with the black friday sale the URDs ended up being the same price.

I have 100,000 miles on my truck so I imagine the bolts will be fairly hard to get off lol

both are long tubes.. the URD headers i think give a more consistent power band IIRC.

    correct me if I'm wrong.

If you can find bolts, of a proper grade. www.Dezod.com carries ARP studs as a replacement. They are especially helpful for those is salty/snowy areas, as they won't rust like the factory ones. Have to chase the threads though, as they are a very tight tolerance. Versus the '03-'04 1GR heads.
