The new Tacoma basically has a Lexus 3.5L.

Lucario Runner and I have our eyes on those coil packs as well. :spy:

Put that part # into www.summitracing.com. It will be cheaper than from Accel.

I wonder if it's because it's a high demand item or low demand item and they don't make them in high volume.

Dunno, sucks though, no indication of back order until after you order them. Anzy might be able to hook me up though, will find out tomorrow.

I can tell you I sell a bunch for the Ford 4.6/5.4 the price is almost the same and the Accel put out more power.

anyone picked up noticeable gains with these? im skeptical, sure its a "hotter" coil, but is it going to help with firing a factory plug with generally cold heat range?

Don't know of anyone on the forum who has them, to answer that question. I know of someone else who ordered them, but again, on back order.

Cool, If these coils are hotter there should be a slight improvement in performance and MPG.... This is one of those small mods that can add up.... Coils, Iridium plugs, thermostat, synthetic oil and gear oil ect.... all add up, can't wait to order some....

Thanks again for the order, I should have them by Wednesday! Unfortunately I won't be able to tell if they alone make that much of a difference with all the other mods I'm doing while reassembling my truck. I'm thinking I might hold off installing them until a week or so after I rebuild to see what, if any, difference they make.

For the minimal price difference between stock replacement and an upgraded Accel is kind of a no brainer. Even for a minimal gain.

I know from experience that upgrading ignition packs, distributors and spark plug wires are worth it on old school applications, can't see why they wouldn't be here. Since they are pretty much the same cost as stock replacements, and made from better materials, I'd say they are at least worth a shot.

I'm saying if someone had to replace coils or was in the market to replace them that is.
