hi all i am new to the forum and actually just bought my tacoma about a month ago. it is an 01 regular cab sts with the 4 cyl in it though i dont know the displacement (2.7 im guessing). the truck is already somewhat quick but my prob is i cant leave anything stock. besides the massive audio system im looking to be adding a little more power and figured i could accomplish this with either a small turbo setup or run a 60 shot of spray. jw how many of you r running spray on this or similar sized motors and how do you like it.heres the kit i was looking athttp://www.jegs.com/p/Venom/941385/10002/-1
    thanks

It will be cheaper in the long run to get an SC kit from Alpine Developments.

yea that kit looks great but on stock internals i could only push what 8 psi max and then id be making about 200 to 225 at the crank or i can spray it and be making the same power on stock internals and have 2500$$$ left over for fills and by the time i used all that nitrous the supercharger would prob be ready to be rebuilt. but i saw a thread saying you could use a buick regal super charger. and you can pickem upon ebay preety cheap so what would i have to do to make that work

In my opinion, juice is not the way to go. At least if this truck is your daily driver.

I would slap a super charger on that engine and be done with it. Sure you can make more power by spraying it, but I would be very suprised if your engine lasts for anywhere near $2500 worth of nitrous. Not to mention, a well done nitrous system will still run you a decent amount.
