I'd just change the muffler out and save yourself a pile of cash.

Get the muffler for the sound you like, I got a 18" round, loud when you want it quite when your cruising, no drone.....

On my 13 Taco, I went with the TRD cat-back. Loved it. On my 15 Taco I swapped the stock muffler with a 14" Borla muffler. I like the sound but the inside drone around 40 mph is getting on my nerves. I can tell I'm getting old. Should have gone with the 18" so I ordered the entire Borla cat-back but the factory is so backed up, after 2 delays I canceled and am going back with the TRD cat-back. The muffler swap is fine and a smart $$$ option but personally I will spend the money and get the entire package.

X2. I ended up getting an aero turbine muffler... Loud acceleration, quiet at cruising speed

I vote for a muffler swap too. I spent $40 (after shipping) for this summit muffler (same as Flowmaster 40 series), http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-638222 and had a local shop weld it in for $70. Now it's nice and loud! I'd recommend the muffler, but it is very loud and tends to drone (which I like).
