Will putting a new flowmaster muffler in trigger the check engine light? I'm only swapping the old muffler for a new flowmaster muffler not the whole exhaust system. Its an 09 4.0l V6 double cab. At the garage I stopped by at the guy told me changing mufflers would trigger the check engine light and cause other problems. Is this correct?

No the only way it will throw a code is if you remove emission parts from your exhaust system and the muffler is not an emission part.

So I should have no problems with the engine running lean and triggering the light?
