Hey guys I was thinking about removing my rear cats on my 4.0. Will this throw a code or make my engine light come on? Also i was wondering if anybody was running a dual flowmaster w/o rear cats. I need help on figuring out whether I want 40 or 50 series. Let me know if you have either and how it sounds w/o rear cats.:mudding:

If you remove the rear cats you'll also be losing a pair of O2 sensors- So it will most likely throw a code.

Best of luck rigging up your pipes.

yeah thats what i thought because it looks like they could just cut the pipe right in front of the rear sensor.

You could do that. You won't get a CEL as long as both O2's are there.

Ok, then the cheap way is to just cut them out and put replacement pipe in there. You could have a exhaust shop do that and weld replacement pipe in there or you could just "scab" it in yourself.
