I had a Dynomax muffler on my old F-150 and I was happy with it. I can't say if it really helped performance much (I didn't really test it), but it had a nice tone to it. Not too agressive but an improvement on stock. I'd get one again.

I just installed a Flowmaster 50 series and I love it. Its not raspy, has a fairly deep tone but its not obnoxiously loud to piss off the neighbors.

In terms of performance, I have no idea. In terms of personal preference, Flowmaster gets my vote for best sound.
