Its all fixed!!!

It was a pain, but we fixed my stupid leak. We had to freaken Helicoil the stud that was stripped, and that was oh so fun!
So now I just hope I stay leak free! (knock on wood)

And my power came back and its great!

The Front driverside flange to the head. It might be the gasket, bc it was leaking before and I could've burnt a spot in the gasket? I just dont know though.

BINGO! Replace the gasket. ANytime I remove a header, I always replace the gasket. Also, be sure to use the copper RTV on the new gasket. Torque the header bolts evenly. You shouldnt have any issues.

Its gotta be the gasket. Thats the only thing that could cause a leak. Make sure everything is tigtened propperl;y, and you should be good to go.

As an avid hot rodder/drag racer, I have built LOTS of high performance engines. In the last 8-10 years we have been running supercharged and turbo charged small blocks...To make a long story short, over time after puling exhaust headers off in etween rounds or after a break and or pulling heads off, gaskets NEVER worked, no matter how many times we machined the surfaces, or tried different set-ups. We had a veteran racer come by our car one day and asked why we were still using gaskets...H said run a thick bead of silicon around the header ports and stick it on the motor...needless to say, since that day we have NEVER had a leak and have to pry the headers off...think about when the last time you have seen silicon burn?? it doesnt...I WILL GUARANTEE that it works..We have ran out of RTV and had top use plain ol window caulking with silicon in it and it works the same...Im serious, try it. YOU will be thanking me...

Hey chris! I was wondering when I put RTV on. Should I put it on both sides of the gasket or just the Header side?
Thanks!

Well its all back together!!! New gasket is in, and for some reason the new one has like 2 or 3 more layers then the old. The old one had 4 and the new like 6 or 7. So that will really help as well. But I still put a little bit of rtv on the header pipe flange that was leaking. f(or precaution).

So Im just taking a break before going out there to check for leaks. I will let you all know in a little bit. Thanks for the help!
