I don't know. It looks like a solid set up, but since I was interested in the TRD and the poll ruled TRD that's what I went with.

You will need the following measurements: 3" Flange/6" base/7" length

That would be a sweet set up. I have the Power Core Filter. Its a dry filter, but pricey. The AFE should be reasonably cheaper.

Does the TRD CAI have a filter that you have to oil?

what were the temps with factory setup?

I just Installed mine a couple days ago, and according to the instructions the filter is supposed to be cleaned and oiled every 10K miles. Hope that helps. I'm planing on ordering the AFE PRO dry air filter when its time to clean this one. I don't like the idea of having oil on my filter. I think the TRD filter is pre oiled out of the box. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong.

OK so I finally had a chance to drive around this weekend and test out the intake. I am very pleased with it. It is not as loud as my previous (AEM Brute Force) but the sound is still nice. The best part is the HP gain, it is deff noticible. Raced a cadi CTS on the freeway and smoked him, I felt embarased for him lol. Over all I recommend this CAI.

fwiw a 2003 cts has only 220hp

curb wt of ~3500 lbs

2008 has 263 @ 6400 RPM

curb wt of ~3900 lbs

..............................
our trucks ~ 4k lbs

HP 236 -239 depending on whos counting

and street racing is not a good topic here.

Thanks for that info, although I'm not quite sure what you are trying to get at. I'm not sure what year it was, but even the one with 220HP with a curb wt of 3500lb should be quite capable pf beating a stock 4.0 DC considering the weight diff. Either way, I appologize about mentioning street racing.

Tollper where did you get the ram air duct? Do you have any info on how to run it to the grill? I have an 2008 6cyl and I dont see how I can run it the way you did.
Also I have a Airaid CAI that connects to the stock air box. The TRD get rid of the air box and it is replaced by a tube with the MAF in it. I would like to get rid of the box and use the setup that TRD has. Can I do this? Where can I get this tube? Any problems that you see with me doing this?
