Hey. I have an 07 tacoma double cab with the 4L. I recently installed a k & n CAI in the summer and just last week a flowmaster super 40 dual exhaust . I love the sound of my truck, it is great. I am also looking into getting some headers for my truck. I have been hearing that the Doug Thorley long tube headers are they way to go? Is this gonna affect the exhaust sound that much and will it make it sound better or make it worse?

well, headers, the DT long tubes are good, they will make your truck louder and you will see some gains on the HP end. however, if loud is not your thing, you may want to think about not putting them on there.

Yah i am in it for the increased sound. The Few HP gain is excellent. Do you know any sites or anywhere in general where i can get the DT's the cheapest?

URD would be the best place to get the headers. I will say this your truck is going to sound like crap with that blowmaster on there once the headers are installed.

Ya with a K&N intake and flowmaster I see you aren't striving for performance

Yes, they are worth getting, but be prepared to change out that flowmaster for something else (magnaflow, borla, etc).
Another thing when you add headers to any flowmaster the exhaust becomes VERY raspy with a tin can sound.

Yes I would spend all that money all over again.

I don't think it sounds like a tin can. I like the sound. It has a deep rasp. My uncle has a 09 M3 and it even has a rasp with a V8 and stock exhaust and it sounds sick

    Here is a sound clip...
