cuts off after hard acceleration

My Tacoma doesn't want to idle after I accelerate hard. Sometimes if I get down on it a couple of times, it will cut off.

Today for instance: coming home from work, a car was driving slow in front of me. No problem I just mash the gas a little and pass them. A car come over the hill in front of me so to avoid any funny manuavers, I floor it to go ahead and get around the car. My truck's an automatic and I took it up to 70 or till it shifted to 3rd, then slowed back to a cruising speed. A couple miles later I was slowing down to turn down my road and the truck stalled out while I was slowing down to make the turn. At around 15-20 mph while off the gas and braking, it died. It did this everytime I slowed down to make a turn or stop at an intersectioin.

The problem seems to go away on its own, and is random. If the trucks sits off for a while, it'll go away. Or after 15 mins or so of constant driving, it'll go away. It doesn't do it everytime. It has done this before but works itself out everytime. I drop the truck in nuetral and crank it back up and keep going.

The truck has 323K miles on it and everything is original. It makes me wonder if some sensor is acting up and if someone could help me diagnos my problem.

Only performance mod on this truck is a TRD air filter.

Thanks in advanced.

Check for vacuum leaks. Around the intake, etc...

Is that the sensor right behind the air filter?
