throttle body spacer..

So i heard that this spacer which is just a 1 inch aluminum spacer bolts on where your intake goes and it creates turbulence and the fuel burns better..It says it gives up to 6 horsepower and 10 lb.-ft. of torque and its supposed to improve your fuel economy by 1 mpg.. I was wondering has anybody heard of this or know if its worth it?

They do not work on injected engines. However, they will hold some mean paper down on your desk.

They are better suited as paper weights.

No, don't waste your money. I put one on my 2000 tacoma & not only did it not do anything to help performance, but the wistling noise was terrible. I ran it for a week or 2 & then gave it to a buddy who ditched it a week or 2 after that.

Even better, I've seen them also double as desktop spacers. Easily put them under a book, or under a DVD case to lift it off the desk.

All yours for only $too much money!!

But for the technical reasoning behind everybody's statement - ACIS adjusts the runner length based on RPM. The TB spacer will counteract what the system is trying to do. If there was any benefit from moving the TB farther back, toyota would have done that from the factory.
