Connecting muffler with 3" O.D. to 2.5" Pipe?

What do I need to connect a muffler with a 3" Outlet to a 2.5" Pipe? I bought a Flowmaster Super 44 3" inlet and 3" outlet, but noticed that my pipes were 2.5". I dont want to ship it back and have to wait to get another one. What do I need to connect them?

That's a cheap fix bro...if it's just the muffler you're replacing and having them weld it. I'd say $30-$60. Call and ask around.

you cat get a 2.5" to 3" adapters from any local auto supply store.

The stock piping (at least on the XR) isn't 2.5" its 2.25".

Thanks guys, I think I am going to go with the quick fix connectors. If I like the sound I will get it welded. Called around and got prices for the install, $60 at local muffler shop. If I lilke the Super 44 then I will get it welded.
