will either of these actually hurt the mpg of my 2.7 due to more airflow? More air flow or any increase of hp does not help mpg?

I am looking for nothing but an increase in mpg. is it just better to keep my stock air filter? i bought a k&n but i think im gonna take it back. I heard to oil is bad for maf

Do the Deck Plate Mod. Keep the OEM filter.

It's only bad for your car if you spray WAY too much oil on the filter. Just don't monkey around with your filter when you clean it.
