I bet you did not sweat at all. Thats the way to do it. But I can tell you that if a dealer comes to me and tell me that- a mechanic that does this daily and it takes him more then 6 hours ????? I will punch his face.

Congratulation. You must be very good at what you are doing. That's a proof, that the right guy can do it, in less then 10 hours ,,, what the dealer claim it takes.

No offense, but this is a typical response from an SRT owner. The whole "I drive an SRT vehicle, so its physically impossible for anything to be faster."

So lets line up a 450rwhp Tacoma against a 450rwhp SRT-10... who's gonna win that race?

And Yes, I have ran an SRT-10. Raced a double-cab and pulled on him (way before most of my mods, boosted with bolt-ons only)

    That was ever implied...

I only stated, that I hit 13's with a blower and bolt-ons (in the middle of summer). There are cars that run 15's with that kind of 60'.

    img001_888523d45554fb222616c6eb0021382e68ffc6b8.jpg

I wouldn't go as far as saying a great performance vehicle... more of just a big engine in a big truck.

Blower, bolt-ons, and a tune, with good driving (good launch), and you'll hit 13's pretty easily.

Enjoy your stay here, get as much from the forum as you can, but please lose the cocky, "My SRT-10 is faster then everybody in the world" attitude. Most Tacoma owners don't give a rats ass about how fast their truck is, and it comes across as snobby.

Lots of performance answers out there. If you ever have questions, don't hesitate to post up. I pretend to know a thing or two about that Tacoma's performance, lol.

Again, no offense is intended, so don't take it the wrong way.

I have the URD 2.85" pulley on my blower. Gained me another 1-1.5 psi:D Deffinately worth the money. There's also an APR 2.85" pulley that is identical to stock in appearence. Same color same numbers stamped on it so dealers won't know unless they measure it which is highly unlikely.
U can pick up a A pillar dual pod at http://www.totallytwistedcreations.com/html/gauge_pod_0.html
and one for ontop of the steering wheel console here:http://www.urdusa.com/index.php?cPath=66_77_177

Does the APR pulley require a reflash? Pretty easy to get the old one off?

What did it do to your gas mileage?
I ask because I modded my 2008 STI with an R30 turbo kit and all the goodies, took of smog crap, dyno tuned it and gas mileage went from 18-20 to 28-30 mpg AND 400 AWHP. I don't understand how it can be so awesome, but it is.
Can we expect same magic from the TRD kit? Or does it kill mpg because the TRD tune is 50 state legal?

I lost 1-3 mpg with my TRD supercharger. It was worse at the begning when the engine was tight and when I had heavy MT tires on it. I was getting 12-14 mpg (part of that was my heavy foot).

Recently since being down in arizona my milage has increased quite a bit. My engine is starting to loosen up with about 12000 miles on it and I am seeing averages of 17mpg between freeway and around town. If I do 60-65 on the freeway I see numbers on the scan gauge from 20-24 mpg and thats with 285/75-16 BFG TA tires, a cat back exhaust system, and AFE CAI.

The TRD tune is pretty mild to say the least.

It should be close to stock mpg. I've heard people get slightly better and slightly worse. It does improve the efficiency of the engine though. As long as you don't go throwing on big ole heavy tires and wheels or add alot of weight. You should be close to stock fuel economy.

That sounds good to me. What if we have it dyno tuned at a speed shop and eliminate the smog junk? Perhaps even better numbers and more efficiency. I will look into it and post results.
    Thanks for the answers.

extremachn1, we have very similar motorcycle stables. Interesting.... I will update my list now.
