CAI air filter sizes

I need to buy a new air filter for my Blazer w/CAI, it's a 4.3L, originally I had the standard sized CAI air filter on it, but I have been seeing some small ones but they are usually in civics and stuff like that, then there's the large ass ones which are used in heavy duty type engines (Caprice, Crown Victoria, Tundra, etc. , I get that one), but does it make a difference what size your using when you have a smaller engine? or is it whatever space allows?
