    getting there....
the one and only reason i went back to single is because the exhaust shop i got it done at did a kinda crappy job, and they left the spare in the bed where it wouldnt fit in the back of my truck......and i got tired of the spare riding in the bed, so i swapped back over. i do love the look of the duals though.

I haven't changed out my factory exhaust yet but when I do, these are brands I've considered. How about the after market TRD exhaust? Has anyone heard what this sounds like?
I know my experience with Magnaflow, they do have a tendency to get loud with time. Almost too loud. My wife has a V6 Accord and I put a cat-back Magnaflow system with dual outlets at the same exit points as the factory. It's less than 2 years old and has become noticeably more noisy. It's not annoying, but close to it.

I personally like Magnaflow which is why I have it on this truck. The Flowmasters (I've used them in the past) never sound "right" to me. The thing is, only YOU can decide for yourself. The best thing you can do is listen to some sound clips or maybe your local exhaust shop will let you try one out for a day or something and then swap it if you don't like it.

The solution to your problem seems very simple. Cherry Bomb.

Haha, I always wondered if somebody would really put a cherry bomb on a truck. I like the Flowmaster 40's.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it refers to the type of vehicle it is recommended for, and the sound, I believe. The Super 44's are the loudest, followed by the Super 40, then the higher the number, the more mellow the sound.

I've heard the series tells you type of vehicle(truck, car hipo race, etc) and you can specify the amount of chambers within it to mellow (I think 4 chambers is the quietest) the tone and volume.

i don't know about that, but the series number designates chamber and design the only muffler that is really designated for anything is the super 44 or 40 because they were designed with muscle cars in mind.

i had the flowmaster 50 series...I liked it but it wasn't much louder than stock so I went back and had it replaced with a 40 series muffler...That was perfect for me. The 40 series is louder than the 50 which means it will be louder inside the cab...which some people don't like
