Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with rods or pistons in the taco.
Curious to see what kind of power the 4.0 can handle and still last long. I've been thinking of going with a turbo but dont want to get to crazy with engine mods if possible. thanks!

the weakest link in the 1gr are the rings. in every motor that has kicked the bucket it is because knock damaged the rings.

I haven't heard of anybody blowing up a motor because of too much power. And there have been a couple guys pushing 500ft-lbs of torque at the wheels on a stock motor with no problems.

As long as your tune is good you can push a good amount of power through motor
