tacoma cold air intake

i have an 08 tacoma double cab with trd sport package. Is there any cold air intake system i can get and keep the factory stock intake box? So far the only one i have found is Airaid. ok so what does airaid do?

 

look into a sealed intake like afe or trd ar the urd tcai. that air raid is bringing in warm air from the engine bay

 

unless you are going for sound just get a good drop-in air filter. i got a k&n but i have heard that there can be problems with the maf sensor if you are not careful.

Yes, but many people on tw like the afe pro dry s because with the K&N you have to buy the cleaner and if you over oil the filter when you clean it it will ruin the maf sensor, which costs hundreds of dollars to replace

 

ok sound good.. i think im going to get one.. after you put it in what difference did u feel and does it make any noise at all louder than stock?

 

The Pro-Dry filter seems to make the throttle a little more responsive. As for sound, can't say it really changed anything. Maybe slightly more throaty sound, but minimal at best.

 

It may change something. But don't expect any noticible difference
